Seamus McCorry is the newest addition to the well worn tradition of folk songwriting. Drawing inspiration from authors such as James Joyce and Raymond Carver, Seamus’ songs dig deep into narratives of circumstance with a backdrop of Australiana and Irish Folk music influenced by the likes of Paul Kelly, The Pogues and Fontaines D.C..
Residing in Melbourne, Australia, Seamus McCorry and his four-piece outfit - The Televised Mind consists of keys player Jack Doughty, Lead Guitarist and Saxophonist Luca Brading, Bassist Ben Cooke and Drummer Steven Stratus.
In 2022, Seamus played alongside leading Australian musicians; Ash Grunwald, Angie McMahon, Baker Boy, and Art Vs Science, and has opened for Reece Mastin and Wanderers.
Mid 2023 will see Seamus release his debut EP, of which he has released two singles; Faith and Ain’t Enough For Me. The EP will be produced by Seamus McCorry and Malcolm Besley (North-East Party House and City Calm Down).
